And 2, Cliff, the guy that wasn't racing, racing as a kind of a pushing from behind domestic'...lol awesome!

Totaly amazing race!!!!! I have never been to a finer event many kids and lots of other people there just to watch.
Over one hunderd racers everyone I talked to had a great time and we had a lot of first timers. I love to see big class of begginers and just see people smiling becouse they love to ride.. Seeing a lot of locals was very nice to see.

Matt you did amazing job!!!! Getting the convicts to weed whack the trail and save 30 hours of labor from the local trail guys was just off the hook. Getting the park to put up the big tent really made a great place for everyone to get out of the sun and the new start finish just made this place great for a race.

As always Smitty's-Wellington team rocks great to see everyone do so well and to hear Patt Kelley even learned something.. Cheesy

It was a long day, but a very satisfying one, despite not being able to race my favorite trails!  I have listed and thanked everyone I can think of here:
http://joinomba.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9280#61636

Thanks again to everyone who helped out in any way.

My buddy Bob took a ton of pictures, which I hope to post by Wednesday.  Likewise, the results will hopefully be up here and on the Kentucky Points Series site by Wednesday. http://kypointseries.googlepages.com/

BTW, the county jail crews probably logged closer to 150 hours on the trails and several other Boone County departments helped out in many ways.  If you want to see this level of county support again, write or email Judge Moore and give him your opinion on the event, where you came from, etc.  No need to mention names. I cannot overstate how important even a few such responses will pay back to future events.

Write or email:
Judge/Executive Gary W. Moore
PO Box 900
Burlington, KY 41005
JudgeMoore@BooneCountyKy.org

Thanks!
Matt B.

P.S. Dig the comments on the KYMBA board - Bet more of them make it up here next year, especially with Smitty's killer swag!

Thanks again Matt, that was a great race and I finally had the start I wanted and was feeling good till my knee started acting up after I laid my bike down, that was my first DNF, Ive been able to finish them all till yesterday Cry     for some reason I decided to save my knee over the socks I could have possibly won! Grin   all in all Matt, you did an awesome job and having Butch on the mic was entertaining to say the least!   I cant wait to do it again next year!

He is definitely future Smitty's team material... he rode ALL DAY out in the sun and has a nice healthy appetite!
Here are a few of my favorites from our camera. The 1st is a picture of my 6 yr old nephew Jason at the start, with his game face ON! The 2nd is Jenah and Jason, they love their medals!
