I was just out at EI helping set up I think we will be fine for Sunday rain came in and out pretty darn fast. The trail was pretty darn dry when I was hiking on it.

We have a big ass tent to keep everyone in the shade by the parking lot and the new start finish is awesome. People we be amazed by what a great job was done on cuting the weeds down... Thanks Matt!!!!!

I felt great on my Sunday and Tuesday rides, but I felt like something at the bottom of a toilet bowl on Thursday....hopefully I get the legs back for the race. If not, I'll just plow everybody who isn't wearing a Smitty jersey Undecided Grin

See everybody tomorrow for mass pain and even more fun!!

Those road miles will come in handy come the OMBC race @ EF

Word has it that more than a few Cat 3 Roadies will be racing in the Sport 40 Something class aboard their big wheel rigs.  At least one of them will be wearing a Saturn kit.

Better start working on your sprints and intervals Mr. Cat Claw.  The EF race is going to be fast and Furious!

0% chance of rain, high 70's at start time, and humidity falling throughout the morning.....so who here sold their soul? Matt?

Heck..thay should just ride their road rigs alltogether, there's enough road in that particular race....lol

BUT....that's another thread altogether. The R.F.T.G race has a great new little bit of devilry that will be a surprise to everyone. A new HILL for your climbing pleasure has been added by course-master Matt. He calls it (very appropriately) COFFIN NAIL HILL. If one is already feeling wrecked by the rest of the course, it will be the final nail in ones coffin. Grin
I rode it this eve and it's a test of man and machine. Ouchie

What a great race Grin. Perfect day, unreal course set up (very nicely done Matt)...everything was smooth and well organized. Good turnout too Shocked

I've done several road races in the past, but I popped my MTB racing cherry with this one, so I'm happy with 9th in Sport (2nd in my age group).

Lots of people claiming prizes in Smitty jerseys today...well done guys and gals.  Marty has proved once again to be my hero Cheesy

This is my Garmin data for the Sport class race if anybody is interested:
